How do I start the process to obtain a caregiver?

It begins with a simple phone conversation. Next, a trained representative will perform an assessment via zoom, by phone, or travel to you to perform an in-person assessment. The staffer will then match you with a caregiver based on your preferences and needs. You may request interviews at no charge. This is a quick process that you are guided through and can be completed within hours.

How much Notice is Needed?

Not much, this is all we do! Our rooster of personally interviewed caregivers is extensive. However, at least 24 hours will give us more time to find a better fit

Do you require a contract with a time frame?

No, we can accommodate short- or long-term care.

What if my first choice of caregivers does not work?

Not a problem! We will have another caregiver for you. We will begin with a conversation to make sure the next caregiver does not possess the issue you did not care for. We are here to make sure you are satisfied with your caregiver.

What kind of professionals do you staff?

We provide Certified Nursing Assistance (CNA), Home Health Aides (HHA), Companions, Skilled Nursing Services, Case Managers, And Placement Representatives.

Am I responsible for reporting Caregiver's information to the Internal Revenue Services, Social Security Office, and Unemployment?

No, Elderberry will comply and report all wages to prevent unnecessary, costly lawsuits to you and your family.

What is the charge for a caregiver?

Prices range per experience, patient workload, and degree. However, a good companion/Home Health Aide rate starts at $17.00 an hour and up.

Will Medicare pay?

No, however, we will work with Medicare agencies to apply days used to your Long-Term Care insurance elimination periods. We do also accept Medicaid Wavier.

What is the hiring process?

Each caregiver is interviewed personally by our Human Resource Department to undergo a rigorous hiring process which includes but is not limited to a Federal background check with daily updated results, reference checks, driving record, license check, and education updates.

Do you accept Long Term Care Insurance and assignment of Benefits?

Yes, we accept most all LTC policies and accept assignment of benefits. A representative would be happy to go over your insurance policy with you and submit the claim.
